Certainity is the mark of the common sense- life: Gracious uncertainity is the mark of our spiritual life. to be certain if God means that we are uncertain in all our ways, we do not know what a day may bring forth. Uncertain about the next step, but we are certain in God?
It isn't true that we aren't sure of God, but uncertain about what's next for us- which is His ways. Our views, our beliefs had wavered through but yet He says: "Believe also in Me," not- "Believe certain things about Me." Leave the whole thing to Me, for it is my gloriously uncertain will come in.
