My patient taught me something today, which made me ponder about it the whole day while I'm attending to her. She voiced her thoughts in Chinese while I'm attending to her. She said: "Your love for coffee can never be be easily be substituted by tea nor you can simply add any amount of sugar or milk in it." There's such a deep deep meaning behind it!
I began to ponder not in the context of coffee but I've asked myself, is it really easy to love another or rather stop loving when your heart had a place for it. I guess yup, this is so out of context of "stuff" that we usually talk about.
I realized the battle isn't over yet. My heart is still filled with fears, I thought it had stopped, I thought it had came to an end, but i was wrong. In the midst of battling, I m struggling to balance between reality and the truth. My focus was wrong! True enough what I've seen was reality and my stubborn heart refuses it. My train journey was a struggle. I couldn't come in terms w it. I told God, "its painful."
I guess I m like Martha, that was distracted by her many tasks (or rather that particular one); she came to and asked, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered , “Martha, Martha (Aveline, Aveline), you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:40-42).
Happy Birthday Aveline (:
